Project Nasu

Project Overview

Project Nasu was developed during the GAM120 course as an introduction to game engines and game design fundamentals. The project utilized Unity's visual scripting system, as we were still being introduced to coding in game engines. This limitation encouraged us to focus on core design principles and workflow efficiency.

In my role as Content Lead, I was tasked with implementing, documenting, and managing the assets used in the game. I maintained records of all assets to ensure organized integration into the project and to facilitate team collaboration. Drawing on my artistic abilities, I took on the additional responsibility of creating all the art assets, including digitally drawn sprites and animations. This ensured a consistent visual identity throughout the game and allowed the team to maintain creative control over every element of the experience.

Beyond asset creation, I actively participated in playtesting sessions, working closely with the team to gather feedback from players. My insights during these sessions helped identify key areas for improvement, particularly in the level design. By providing constructive feedback to the level designer, I contributed to refining gameplay elements, ensuring a cohesive player experience. Through Project Nasu, I gained valuable experience in asset management, collaboration, and iterative design, while also honing my artistic and technical skills in a structured development environment.
